“Repainting the Lion” is an ongoing semi-autobiographical story following two different threads: an exploration of my experience of learning to do a PhD here entwined with the ‘story’ of my own research presented as an informal case study. Basically, it’s me in conversation with the ghostly Wife of Bath talking our way through topics like narrowing down a thesis, thinking through sources, tentatively coming to conclusions, and talking about what all this even means.
